Junior Forest Technician

Landmark is centrally located in Salmon Arm. In an hours drive or less you have access to lakes, hiking/camping, world class fly fishing, mountain biking, backcountry skiing and 3 different ski hills.

We are currently looking to add valuable contributors to our team. The ideal candidates for our Junior Forest Technician positions will demonstrate the following assets:
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills;
• Self motivation and the ability to work under limited direct supervision;
• Flexibility and a desire to apply skills and knowledge in various capacities;
• Valid Level 1 First Aid and WHMIS Certificates (preferred).
Typical duties, depending on previous experience, include:
• GPS traversing;
• Timber recce;
• Road and cutblock development;
• Timber cruising;
• Stream/riparian assessments;
• Site plan data collection;
• Short term construction and/or marine projects.
