Senior, Intermediate and Junior Forest Engineers
HAF Forest Services Inc. is a professional and dynamic resource consulting company, delivering integrated forest management and development services to clients throughout northern Vancouver Island. We specialize in multi-phase forestry services covering the full scope of forest management, including timber reconnaissance and inventory, road location and design, timber development, silviculture site plans, and operational mapping.
We have immediate openings for senior, intermediate and junior forest engineers. All positions are permanent and full-time. These positions require office work as well as physically demanding fieldwork in Holberg, BC. The candidate has the option to be based anywhere on Vancouver Island with shift work based in Holberg. Flexible scheduling and holiday time available.
Qualifications:
– Senior Engineer: Minimum 5 years of experience in coastal forest engineering and crew supervision
– Intermediate Engineer: Minimum 2 years of experience in coastal forest engineering
– Junior Technician: Willing to train the right individual
– Additional Requirements:
– Post-secondary education in forestry or have significant experience in this field (waived for Junior position)
– Be a team player with a strong commitment to safe work procedures
– Have excellent communication and problem solving skills and be able to adapt to quickly changing work plans
– Must be physically fit and willing to work in variable weather conditions
– Good written and verbal communication skills
– Experience with RoadEng, GPS/GIS technology, Arcmap, and MS Office an asset
