The Forestry Undergraduate Society and Forestry Student Services are sponsoring a limited number of Forestry students to attend the annual ABCFP conference (https://abcfp.ca/WEB/ABCFPConference/) from February 5-7th in Nanaimo. Sponsored students will have their registration fees covered, but will be responsible for their own accommodations, travel, and other expenses (students are encouraged to carpool and/or share accommodations to minimize costs), as well as ensuring they make any necessary arrangements with their instructors for missing class on these dates.
To apply for one of the sponsorships, please submit the following to Lydia Braam (lydia.braam@ubc.ca):
- Your name, student number, program/major, and year level
- A written statement (400-500 words) detailing why you hope to attend the conference and how it will benefit your professional development
