Position: Environmental Educators
Organization: Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association (VBGA)
Location: Vancouver BC
Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association (VBGA) is seeking casual environmental educators to deliver youth programs at VanDusen Botanical Garden and Bloedel Conservatory.

Responsibilities
- Lead environmental education programs for diverse groups of children ages 3-12
- Facilitate a safe, fun, and high quality learning experience
- Conduct programs in accordance with stated educational objectives in content and style
- Assist the education team with other education related tasks including special events
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years post-secondary education in ecology, biology, education or related field
- Experience working with groups of children (3-12 yrs)
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather leading energetic activities and games
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully as part of a team
- Dedication to environmental awareness and sustainable living
- Current Criminal Records Check (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
- Confident and reliable communicator with children, volunteer team, and staff
- Willingness to accept VBGA Education team’s stated objectives in content and style
Availability & Eligibility
Casual, part-time, year-round. Minimum 1 shift (7 hours) per week during peak seasons.
Wage
$16/hr + 4% in lieu of vacation
