For-credit internships are open to all UBC students, seeking students interested a range of fields: communications, data analysis, education, farming, marketing, project management, survey development, workshop coordination, and youth facilitation.
The LFS 496 Food Systems Career Development Internship applications for January are now open. These internships prepare UBC students professionally and academically for future careers through a mentored learning experience with a real food business or organization. These internships are managed by the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems(CSFS) at the UBC Farm.
As well as education and communications postings with the CSFS at UBC Farm, we have an array of opportunities with impact food and farming businesses, such as Fresh Roots, Lita’s Mexican Foods, the Small-Scale Meat Producers Association, Solecito, and Tayybeh, as well as a position supporting the local food system with Vancity. We even have an Insect Food Production Internship with Bite Snacks!
Students: apply the theory you gain from class through on-the-ground food system-related work and through reflections and course assignments that support your practical learning. These positions are unpaid, for-credit internships.
