More about the Northern Development Initiative Trust :
We have been offering an internship program since 2009 and have supported nearly 100 internships across northern B.C. Our internship program has been very successful in placing post-secondary graduates in careers in local government, First Nations government as well as community and economic development roles. More than 75% of the interns are successful in getting a full-time position either in their host community or a community across our northern region. I am tasked with outreach to post-secondary institutions in advance of promoting the 2020 internships. Internships begin May 1st for a 12-month placement. These placements are best suited to graduating undergraduate or graduate students interested in full-time roles post-internship.
