The Faculty of Forestry has been allocated 9 NSERC USRA 2019/20 awards. These awards can be held in the summer (May – Aug 2019), fall (Sep – Dec 2019) or winter (Jan – Apr 2020) terms.
This year deadline is March 11, 2019 (see attachment for the list of Subject codes or at the following URL http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Help-Aide/ScholarshipCodes-CodesPourBourses_Eng.asp )
To apply, both project supervisor and student must complete and submit an online NSERC USRA application Form 202 part I (student) and Part II (supervisor).
Instructions on how to complete the forms can be found on the NSERC USRA website.
NSERC grant application number for supervisor (eg. RGPIN number – can be found on all correspondence NSERC has with the supervisor. It appears in the top right hand corner of all official letters.
Personal identification number (different from research grant application number)
· Students need to upload, with their application form, a copy of their official transcripts including one copy of the back page legend.
· Once completed online, a copy of the forms (Part I and Part II, as well as the student’s transcripts – they don’t have to be official) have to be submitted to chiara.longhi@ubc.ca
· NSERC will not accept hardcopy forms so the official application must be completed and submitted electronically. The copies sent to the NSERC USRA Coordinator are only necessary for the internal review process.
