Hone your communication skills while supporting your peers to achieve their career ambitions! Working out of UBC’s student involvement hub – The Centre for Student Involvement and Careers – the Career Peer Coaches meet one-on-one with students from a wide variety of academic disciplines to offer career-related coaching on resumes, cover letters and interview preparation.
As a Career Peer you will gain access to:
– extensive training
– a chance to hone skills that can be applied to a wide variety of work environments
– structured professional development sessions that help you explore your own career-related goals and questions
– networking opportunities
– a new way to connect to the UBC campus community and make friends
– experience working independently and within a team
Commitment – 5 hours/week from September 2019 – March 2020 with some training in late August
